Breathe Hospitality is a small, owner-run group on Sri Lanka's southern coast. One hotel, two restaurants and a beach club, close enough to each other that the same people can be in all of them on the same day.
Nothing here is a franchise or a management contract. Every kitchen, every room and every team is ours, and the decisions get made on the island.

Restaurant · Galle Fort
Ceylonese seafood with a contemporary hand, served inside a restored 17th-century villa in the heart of the Fort.
Beach club · Unawatuna
Terraces at the water's edge under coconut palms. The day's catch from the fishermen working the same bay, grilled and served with the sunset.
Fire-roasted chicken · Unawatuna
Half a chicken roasted over volcanic stone, with a choice of five sauces. Open every day, 11:00 to 22:00.

Kabala and Malu buy the day's catch from the fishermen working the same water you can see from the table. No middlemen, no shortcuts.

The teams are local and the management is on the island. When something needs deciding, it gets decided that day, on site.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast was delicious every morning, and we even got to watch monkeys while we ate — such a unique experience!
Excellent hotel! We were able to relax and enjoy the pool and garden, which is full of nature and wildlife. The staff was very friendly, and the room was spacious and very clean.
